Março de 2023 marca o aniversário de 50 anos de “ The Dark Side of the Moon”, álbum da banda inglesa Pink Floyd e seu maior sucesso fonográfico, com mais de 50 milhões de cópias vendidas. Em comemoração à data, uma caixa de luxo incluindo CD e vinil gatefold do disco original remasterizado, além de áudio Blu-ray + DVD com mixagem 5.1 original e versões estéreo. O pacote também inclui um Blu-ray adicional do mix Atmos, além do CD e LP de “The Dark Side of the Moon – Live at Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974”, trazendo na capa desenho original de George Hardie, designer gráfico responsável dentre outras, capas de disco famosas como a do primeiro disco do Led Zeppelin e dos álbuns Wings Greatest e London Town, de Paul McCartney e Wings. É a primeira vez que essa apresentação será lançada em um álbum de forma independente. Também no pacote, o livro “Pink Floyd – The Dark Side Of The Moon: 50th Anniversary” com curadoria da fotógrafa Jill Furmanovsky e direção de arte do cofundador da Hipgnosis, Aubrey Powell. A obra apresenta fotografias raras e inéditas tiradas durante as turnês de 1972 a 1975. Os membros da banda participaram da produção do conteúdo.
As comemorações aos 50 anos do álbum vão incluir ainda uma competição de videoclipes. Animadores podem inscrever até 10 vídeos, um por música. Os vencedores serão selecionados por um grupo de de especialistas que inclui o baterista Nick Mason, o diretor criativo Aubrey Powell e o Instituto Britânico de Cinema.
